The Maison de l'Apiculture Malagasy (MAM), created in 2022, is a consultation structure for stakeholders in beekeeping activities in Madagasikara: beekeepers, beekeeping trainers, collectors, researchers, suppliers of beekeeping inputs and equipment, and producers. The MAM provides expertise and support to government bodies, technical and financial partners and the private sector, through a range of activities designed to safeguard the bee and develop sustainable beekeeping: - coordinating the sector's activities to ensure that all players can develop and that beekeeping is sustainable - Recognition of the economic value of the ecological services provided by bees (the ecosystem service of pollination). - Raising awareness of the need for greater protection of local bees among a broad spectrum of the public: government bodies, technical and financial partners, the private sector, the general public (children, young people, adults, professionals, students, researchers, farmers, foresters, workers, city dwellers, rural dwellers, etc.). - Greater support for the professionalization of beekeepers
